Pre-Zep: Starting Zepbound tomorrow!

I just got the tracking info from LillyDirect...the Zep arrives today, which means I can do the first injection tomorrow morning!!

I think I'm all set. I've read the instructions and watched the video. I have meals & snacks planned out for the first few days. My calendar is clear for the first half of the week to give me time to adjust to any side effects.

While I'm waiting, here's my current morning skincare routine (at the moment, I don't do anything before bed, but I probably need to start a retinol regime):

  1. Cleanse: Palmers Skin Therapy cocoa butter oil. I do this in the shower. I've tried other facial cleansers over the years, but this one outshines them all.
  2. Toner: I jump around a bit with toners. Currently using Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic alternating with Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner. Both of these are non-drying and help remove any traces of makeup or dirt.
  3. Serum: Cosrx 6X Peptide Collagen Booster Toner Serum: I apply this right after the toner, and let it settle in for a few minutes before the next step.
  4. Moisturizers: I alternate between two main paths:
    • For days where I'm not wearing makeup, I apply unscented kukui nut oil that I mail order from the Kona Natural Soap company in Hawaii. This is especially fantastic in the winter when my skin gets very dry, but I use it year round. As an aside, I get my bar soap from them as well, which I prefer over shower gels.
    •  If I plan to wear makeup, or just want to mix things up, I apply Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream followed by DHC Astaxanthin Collagen Gel. This makes a wonderful makeup base and leaves my skin very smooth any hydrated.
That's it for skin care! I'm hoping that this same routine (plus a crapton of water) helps to minimizes sags and wrinkles during weight loss. NGL, that's been one of my biggest fears. I guess I shall see!
